1. Overview

Prime Books NG sells pre-loved (secondhand) books. Due to the nature of pre-owned items, minor signs of prior use may be present. Each book is quality-checked before dispatch.

We operate a limited refund and return window in compliance with applicable Nigerian consumer protection laws.

2. Eligibility for Refund or Return

Customers may request a refund or return within 24–48 hours of confirmed delivery, subject to the conditions below.

To qualify:

1. The request must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
2. The book must be in the exact condition in which it was delivered.
3. No additional damage, markings, writing, tearing, folding, staining, or alteration must have occurred after delivery.
4. A valid reason must be provided and approved by Prime Books NG.

3. Valid Grounds for Return

Returns may be approved under the following circumstances:

• The wrong book was delivered.
• The book delivered materially differs from its listed description.
• Significant damage not disclosed in the product description.
• Missing pages or printing defects not stated prior to purchase.
• Duplicate order due to payment system error.

Prime Books NG reserves the right to determine whether a reason is valid based on inspection and supporting evidence.

4. Non-Eligible Returns

Refunds will not be granted for:

• Change of mind after purchase.
• Minor wear consistent with a pre-loved book (e.g., light creases, age discoloration).
• Damage caused after delivery.
• Requests submitted after 48 hours.
• Books marked as Final Sale or Clearance (if applicable).

5. Return Process

To initiate a return:

1. Email primebookstoreng@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery.
2. Include:
   • Order number
   • Clear photos/videos of the book
   • Description of the issue
3. Wait for written approval before returning the item.

Unauthorized returns will not be processed.

6. Inspection & Approval

Upon receipt of the returned book:

• Prime Books NG will inspect the item within 3–5 business days.
• If approved, a refund will be processed.
• If rejected, the book will be returned to the customer at their expense.

7. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be processed:

• To the original payment method, or
• Via bank transfer (where applicable)

Processing time: 5–10 business days, depending on payment provider timelines.

8. Shipping Costs

• If the return is due to an error by Prime Books NG, return shipping costs will be covered.
• If approved for other valid reasons, return shipping may be the customer’s responsibility.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the error was on our part.

9. Risk of Misuse

Because we sell pre-loved books, misuse of the return policy (including swapping, tampering, or damaging items) will result in permanent restriction from future purchases.

10. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy removes your statutory rights under Nigerian law. Customers retain protections under applicable consumer protection regulations.
